Pancake Breakfast with the Friars


Peace and good! The Friars and the Parish Staff welcome you back to Mass, the sacramental life and the
SJC faith community. As we continue to return to a new “normal,” we invite you to join us for a Pancake
Breakfast with the Friars on Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 7:45 am to 12:30 pm.

A free will offering will be accepted. We look forward to seeing you and enjoying pancakes with you on September 19th!

Novena Prayers

Brother Knights and Families,
You are invited to join in praying that attached novena to the founder of our Order, Blessed Michael McGivney, starting tomorrow and ending on his feast day August 12th.  Also, the Supreme Council convention begins today and you can find highlights on the website www.kofc.org.   It’s a great way to learn more about all the good works of the Knights around the world.

COVID Vaccines

Anyone can use Vaccines.gov,  a free online service where users can search for pharmacies and providers that offer vaccination via appointments or walk-ins.  

Go to Vaccines.gov
1. Click the blue Find COVID-19 Vaccine box
2. If you have a preferred manufacturer due to allergies or other reasons, you can select those manufacturer(s) using the checkboxes above your zip code
3. Enter your zip code and select a search radius (the distance you are willing to travel)
4. Click the blue “in stock” circle at the location you want to schedule an appointment (or to see if walk-ins are accepted)
5. You will be redirected to the provider’s online scheduling system
6. Check appointment availability at the provider’s locations
7. Schedule appointment on the day, time and location that is most convenient for you

Volunteers Needed –

All-Women Veterans’ Honor Flights



HFC, now in their 14th year, is continuing to bring every WWII Veteran they can find, along with Korean and Vietnam War Veterans, to see their memorials and experience their Day of Honor here in our Nation’s Capital.

HFC is also thrilled to be partnering with Operation HerStory in bringing the first All-women Veterans Flight on October 6th. This special flight will have a different itinerary than normal, focusing on women veterans.

Here are the dates for HFC’s 2021 Season: 

Wednesday, August 18th
Thursday, yes, it’s a Thursday, September 16th
Wednesday, October 6th (All-women Veterans Operation HerStory Flight)
Wednesday, October 27th

to sign up. On the sign-up form, you will be able to indicate if you have an active IAD Airport Badge and are willing to assist with the Gate Crew.  Only those with IAD Airport Badges will be able to assist at the gate.
